As you may or may not know, I am originally from The Bronx and LOVE being from the Bronx. Therefore I was ecstatic to hear about a company actually called, From The Bronx which sells original Bronx merchandise and plans events and fundraisers geared around and for…Guess what? THE BRONX!
I recently touched upon my love for awesome programs that are for the development of the Bronx HERE, and was thrilled to attend From The Bronx’s event: The Bronx Beer Hall Preview at the The Bronx County Historical Society’s Valentine-Varian Home.
The event is to preview the upcoming Bronx Beer Hall by featuring amazing brews from Jonas Bronck’s Beer Company and delicious sandwiches and Hors d’oeuvres from Mike’s Deli of Arthur Avenue. I attended yesterday and had a marvelous time! It was such a fantastic event and is repeating again TODAY between 4pm and 9pm. Who doesn’t love authentic beer, Italian food and Bronx Apparel? There was even live music, a school photography group, and beer pong! You’ll be a FOOL to miss out!

I actually had the wonderful pleasure of meeting the Borough Historian of The Bronx: Professor Lloyd Ultan. Many of the books featured on this table are written by him!
Besides this event being the bomb-diggity, walking the grounds of the Valentine-Varian House was just as spectacular. The Valentine-Varian house holds such much history! Especially being the LAST of the Farmhouses that lined Boston Post Road.
Behold: Parts of the Valentine-Varian House Grounds:

Attending this event made my day and I can assure it will make yours
